30th November 2025 @ Stony Edge, 7A
No beta. I hadn’t sent before this day, but you are probably watching my 2nd, 3rd, or 4th send, as I messed with the tripod to get the feet as visible as I could, whilst maintaining a nice backdrop.
I’d tried this earlier in the year, and ended up doing a variant where I started left hand on the bulbous footledge, and right hand on a good sloper. It was only one or two moves, and a fair bit easier than the guide grade, so it ended up weighing on my mind throughout the year.

Coming back later, I figured out a start which seemed truer to the line in the guide, and the moves felt like they might be worthy of the advertised grade.
The trick was finding the right body positions to make the slopers work. I had been going quite dynamically to the finish, but was either failing to latch the top, or slipping before I got there. Slowly pulling up and attempting to lock in for the final reach ended up working fairly reliably.
I doubt people will flock to Stony to do it, but I found it to be a fun challenge. Not often repeated according to UKC.
